General Description
The Mincorp low intensity obstruction lights are RED beacon lights that have a minimum light intensity of 10cd (Type A) or 32cd (Type B), and are used to warn aircraft of the obstruction onto which they are mounted. The Mincorp LED lights are available as either steady burning or flashing lights.
STEADY BURNING LED LAMP
The Mincorp steady burning low intensity LED obstruction lights have a light intensity greater than 32 candela and therefore qualify as both Type A or Type B obstruction lights.
FLASHING LED LAMP
The Mincorp flashing low intensity LED obstruction lights have a light intensity greater than 32 candela and therefore also qualify as Type B obstruction lights.
All the LED lamps (i.e. steady burning and flashing) have an E27 base and screws into the Mincorp obstruction light housing. Thus, in the unlikely event of lamp failure, the LED lamp is easily replaceable.
Furthermore, both the steady burning and flashing lights are approved by the South African Civil Aviation Authority.
